A dazzling and incredibly rare Hermès scarf design, “Ludovicus Magnus” from the 1960s appears in a classic color way of royal blue, white, and golds. Illustrated by Francoise de la Perriere, “The Sun King” features Louis XIV on horseback, framed with ornate gold work and references to French royal culture.
The incredibly rare and unique Hermès Opera Shawl Scarf, a 60’s design made from cutting the standard 90 centimeter scarves into thirds to make a 1/3 by 2 wrap. This piece features one side with two center panels, mirrored, and the other with either outer third. A rarity for Hermes, this scarf features hidden seams instead of rolled edges, and is cut slightly off center- a common detail for the opera scarf that many would consider unusual.
Signature and hidden ©️ symbol in one corner. Dry cleaned with extremely minor flaws, as shown. Standard stole size, 11.5" X 70". Crafted in France.
