Little is known about the now extinct Italian craftsmanship brand, Anticoli. Existing with fleeting documentation through the 1970’s, this Roman label had a handful of shops, each of which with their own stamp.
This bag, stamped Anticoli, 22 P.zza (Piazza) Mignanelli, Roma Italy, boasts the address of Anticoli’s flagship. The historic Palazzo Gabrielli-Mignanelli, a 16th century palace built by Alessandro Moschetti for Count Girolamo Gabrielli. The palace is now the private residence of Valentino Garavani himself, as well as his Roman headquarters.
Black lambskin intreccato weave, a la Bottega Veneta, graces this bag with minimal hardware. Crafted in Italy.
