“Bernetti was a manufacturer of beaded and decorated cocktail dresses and suits based in New York starting in the early 1950s. By the early 1960s, Bernetti began to focus more on full length formal evening gowns, still decorated with lavish beading.” – Vintage Fashion Guild. This piece was sold by Charlotte’s West of Akron, an upscale women’s boutique founded by Matthew Margolis in 1954. The boutique was regarded as the supreme store in Akron.
